Abstract: Teaches the essentials of developing back-end business functionality using Enterprise JavaBeans (EJB) technology. Key topics include: developing session beans, entity beans, and message-driven beans; packaging and deploying EJB components; container managed services (CMP, CMR); implementing transaction processing; implementing application security; EJB integration with web components; deploying EJB components on commercial application servers.
